If you know how to read lines, then you know Vegas was begging you to take St. Johns last night. If you played St. Johns....Feel free to vent.

I'm finally able to pull the trigger on these types of games. I learned my lesson a few times back on obvious lines so I stayed out of those games but realized I was missing out. Its one of those things you just have to TRUST.

Guess since the O/U on my getting out of bed this a.m. was 8:45 and I rolled out at 9:37 missing a 9:30 breakfast meeting, I'll have to quit capping myself.

Let me be really direct. You don't know what you're talking about. You won. That's fine. Act like you have been there before. Also, take a look at the shooting percentages for the Pirates last night and you'll find the answer as to why they won. They have been a 40% shooting team for the year and 28% beyond the arc. Last night, they shot 64% plus 12-18 (66.7%) from beyond the arc. That's why they won. Vegas' setting the line had nothing to do with how the players performed. Keep following what you think Vegas is doing and you have absolutely no chance at winning long term.

All I know is that one guy from S.H. was bombing it.

Damn, it was lights out.

One of the 20 worst 3 pt shooting teams in the country, and that guy was on firefirefire.

OMT this is the most blunt post I have ever read from you!

It's laughable how many self-proclaimed experts we have on these forums who think they know about setting lines. The game is played between the lines period and the results speak for themselves.

This will help give a little perspective to their amazing shooting performance last night:

I've watched a ton of NCAAB in the past 40 years and can't remember witnessing a better performance and I remember well the schooling UNLV gave Arkansas as I resided a mere 120 miles from Fayetteville at the time. Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield, and last night, I along with all other Johnnies players were definitely the bugs, LOL.

Ted or ANYONE else ,do you think odds makers ever set a line in hopes they get action that falls on ONE side of the line in hopes they can win?

Or do odds makers set lines in hopes of getting 50/50 action ALL the time, but sometimes for what ever reason one side gets more play on it?

The lines are made off power ratings with slight adjustments and with the intention of getting balanced action. However, it is nearly impossible to get an equal amount of money wagered on both sides, thus the line movement.
